Information about mediators
We publish information from public court and government mediator rosters: name, certifications, city and county, and public phone numbers and websites. We never publish street addresses. Roster email addresses are kept private and used only to forward messages, to verify listing claims, and to contact mediators about their listing.
Information you give us
- Messages and match requests: your name, email, optional phone, and what you write, plus your answers to the Get matched questions (such as timing and whether the other side is open to mediation). We share it only with the mediator(s) you contact or that we route your request to. If you answer that you have safety concerns, mediators see only a note to “screen for safety first,” never your answer.
- Consent records: when you agree to be contacted through Get matched, we keep the exact consent wording, the date and time, your IP address and the page you submitted from, as a record of your consent.
- Describe your situation: your text is sent to our AI provider to choose a category, and isn’t stored by us.
- Claims, waitlist and removal requests: what you enter, to handle your request.
- Free printables: your email, optional name, which resource you asked for, and whether you checked “Email me this resource and occasional updates.” We don’t send any emails yet.
- Use my location: approximate coordinates are sent to the U.S. Census geocoder to find your county. We don’t store them.
Usage data
We keep daily counts of profile views, appearances in search results, searches by state, county and category, phone-number reveals and contact requests, so mediators can see their stats. We store only the counts: no IP addresses, cookies or visitor IDs, and nothing tied to your name. (These counts are separate from the website analytics services below.)
Website analytics
On mediationlist.com we use three analytics services to understand which pages people use and where the site is slow or hard to use. They run only on the live site, never on test versions, and not at all if you opt out (see below).
- Google Analytics 4 (Google): pages viewed, approximate location (city or region, derived from your IP address by Google), device and browser type, how you arrived (for example, from a search engine), and actions such as starting or sending a Get matched request, revealing a phone number, clicking a mediator’s website, joining a waitlist or running a search. With these actions we send only the action’s name and, at most, the state, the case type from our fixed list, or the Get matched step number: never your name, email, phone number, what you type, or your answers to the safety question. Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off, and we don’t use Google Analytics data for advertising. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to count return visits.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) and makes heatmaps, along with device and browser type and approximate location as processed by Microsoft. Everything typed into forms is masked before it leaves your browser, and the Get matched form, its summary page and the consultation forms are masked as well, so request details never appear in recordings. Clarity doesn’t run at all on the mediator dashboard and lead inbox, the claim and self-listing pages, sign-in pages or admin pages.
- Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights (Vercel): pages viewed, referring site, device, browser and country, and page-speed measurements. Vercel’s analytics don’t use cookies.
We send these services page addresses without the part after the “?” (which can hold what you searched for), and links that contain a private code are shortened before they are sent. We don’t sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How to opt out: use Your privacy choices (also linked at the bottom of every page) to turn analytics off in your browser. We also honor Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, none of these analytics load. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Service providers
We use providers to host the site and measure site use and speed (Vercel), store data (Supabase), send email (Resend), classify situation descriptions (Anthropic), and measure site use (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, described above). They process data for us under their terms. We don’t sell personal information.
Your choices
Turn analytics off in your browser with Your privacy choices; we also honor Global Privacy Control. Email hello@mediationlist.com to access or delete information you gave us. Mediators can ask to remove or correct a listing.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
