How child support is calculated in District of Columbia
The District’s child support guideline, set in D.C. law and applied by the D.C. Superior Court, uses both parents' incomes along with child care, health insurance and support paid in other cases to arrive at the support amount. The Office of the Attorney General’s Child Support Services Division offers an estimate calculator.[1]
