Want more choice than your county offers?

Many family mediators work across county lines, and many meet online. A court may ask you to use a mediator from its own roster, so check with your court first if your case is court-ordered.

About this data

How we count

Each county’s number is the family mediators on the New Jersey Judiciary roster of mediators for economic aspects of family law cases listed in that county (the counties the roster lists them as serving), the same count its county page shows. People no longer on the roster are left out. Population is the Census Bureau’s July 1, 2024 county estimate. The colour bins are the same on every state’s map, so states can be compared.

What a zero means

No family mediator on the roster lists that county. Mediators from nearby counties and online mediators may still take cases there; a court may require a mediator from its own roster.
