How does mediation work in Kent County?
Kent County makes up Michigan's 17th judicial circuit under MCL 600.518.[5] Kent County posts separate court-approved rosters of civil and domestic mediators; each states that every mediator on it has completed the education, training and experience requirements of MCR 2.411 and is approved to be appointed to conduct mediations.[4][2] The rosters list each mediator's city and phone, and carry an effective date of February 17, 2022.[4][2] Most mediators listed below come from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan's Voluntary Facilitative Mediation and Prisoner Early Mediation panels; others are on the Kent County civil roster.[6][7][4]
