Montgomery County is part of Illinois's Fourth Judicial Circuit, and its circuit clerk's office is in Hillsboro.[4] For disputes over custody, decision-making, parenting time, removal or relocation, the circuit uses a list of child-related mediators approved under Supreme Court Rule 905 and its own Rule 11.[2] Under the circuit's mediation order form, the judge appoints the mediator, each party must contact the mediator within seven days, and fees are split by percentages based on financial affidavits unless the parties are found indigent.[5] In civil cases, if the parties cannot agree on a mediator within 14 days of referral, the court appoints a certified mediator by rotation.[6] The mediators listed below are on the child-related list, and five are also on the civil list.[2][1]
