Putnam County's circuit clerk is in Hennepin, and the county is part of Illinois's Tenth Judicial Circuit.[4] In the circuit, family law mediation is a court-ordered program for disputes over parental decision-making and parenting time.[5] Under the circuit's local mediation rules, approved mediators need a law degree or a related advanced degree and at least 40 hours of family mediation training, and each must be available for two pro bono cases a year.[6] The mediator keeps assessing impediments and must end mediation when safety cannot be maintained.[6] Any agreement goes in writing to the parties and their attorneys, is not binding until the judge reviews and signs it, and the mediator files a report with the clerk within ten days.[6] The mediators listed below are on the circuit's approved Rule 900 list.[3]
