In Washington County's Court of Common Pleas, the assigned judge may send civil cases listed for trial to the Civil Litigation Mediation Program under Local Rule 212.7, and Orphans' Court cases can be ordered to a parallel program under Local Rule 1.6.[2][3] The Court Administrator manages both programs, parties may also join by agreement, and the mediators are Washington County Bar Association members who practice civil litigation.[2][3] The court's posted fee is a one-time $300 per party in each program.[2] Custody cases start with an initial custody meeting set within 45 days of filing, after a mandatory parenting program, and a party may seek a trial de novo within 20 days of the recommended order from the conciliation conference.[3] Mediators listed below appear in the federal Western District of Pennsylvania's ADR neutral search.[1]
