How does mediation work in Prince George's County?
The Circuit Court for Prince George's County, in Upper Marlboro, provides family mediation through its Family Support Services unit.[7] Trained professionals there run child access, dependency and financial or property mediation programs, alongside home studies, psychological evaluations and domestic violence screening.[7] Parents in custody or visitation disputes may also be ordered to attend two virtual parenting classes.[7] MACRO notes that the county's Orphans' Court has an ADR coordinator and uses mediation in estate matters, and that the Prince George's Community Collaborative Resolution Center provides mediation at little or no cost.[8] Most Prince George's mediators below are on the Judiciary's MACRO statewide roster, as of October 2026; one is a bankruptcy court Resolution Advocate.[1][9]
