The Circuit Court for Somerset County in Princess Anne runs a Family Court Services Program for divorce, custody and visitation cases, which MACRO lists as the court's Family ADR Program.[5][6] For custody and visitation, the court selects a court-approved mediator with 40 hours of basic and 20 hours of domestic training; two sessions are suggested, and costs are prorated between the parties.[5] For property, alimony and child support, the court appoints a mediator from its approved list, and an agreement goes to the court for approval.[5] The court may not order mediation where there is a genuine threat of physical or sexual abuse of a party or a child.[5] Most mediators listed below come from MACRO's Circuit Court Roster and Mediator Excellence directories.[1][7]
