The Circuit Court for Dorchester County in Cambridge handles family mediation through its Family Support Services office, which MACRO lists as the court's Family ADR Program.[5][6] The court keeps an approved list of certified mediators in the clerk's office and can order financial or property mediation and custody, visitation or child support mediation.[5] Court-ordered mediation costs $130 per hour, divided equally among the parties.[5] The court can also order custody, visitation or child support mediation through the Mid Shore Community Mediation Center, whose mediators must be certified by the court and which charges no fee.[5] The court may waive these fees when a party files a formal request documenting financial need.[5] District Court ADR services are free to participants.[6] Most mediators listed below come from MACRO's Circuit Court Roster and Mediator Excellence directories.[1][7]
