How does mediation work in Calvert County?
The Circuit Court for Calvert County in Prince Frederick has a Family ADR Program, run through the Family Services office of the court's clerk.[4][5] The court may order parties with disputed custody and access issues to a court-appointed mediator for at least two 2-hour sessions, and any agreement is put in writing, signed and submitted to the court.[5] Court-ordered custody mediation costs $65 per hour per party, and a party with significantly limited income may move for a fee waiver within 14 days of the order.[5] The court may also refer parties to property mediation using the clerk's list of court-approved property mediators.[5] District Court ADR services are free to participants.[4] Most mediators listed below come from the Judiciary's MACRO Circuit Court Roster and Mediator Excellence directories.[2][6]
